FBC Publications came into existence by God's leading in 1984. In an effort to cut the costs of the many copies of papers needed for our church and Christian school, Faith Baptist Church acquired an old Multilith 1250 LW offset printing press. With a small converted classroom and some home made darkroom equipment we began to print. After a visiting missionary came to present his work about a year later, our founding pastor, Dr. Terry Booher saw the poor quality of his printed material and prayer cards and asked him why he didn't have a print shop print them for better quality. The missionary mentioned that he just didn't have the funds to have them printed. Dr. Booher then offered to print them for him free of charge.
It wasn't very long before another missionary contacted us having heard from the first one what our print shop had done for him and thus we saw the humble beginnings of what has now become a world-wide ministry. We never set out to start a ministry of printing and publishing, but as is always the case, God knows best and His plans are far greater than we can imagine if we are simply willing to be used by Him. Today millions of pieces of doctrinally sound Biblical based literature is found all over the world that have come from the humble beginnings of that small converted classroom and an old offset printing press.
